Card Scanner Privacy Policy

This policy describes how Last Pack Mojo LLC uses information through Card Scanner, a desktop tool used to research collectible cards, evaluate listings, track purchases entered by the operator, and review auction outcomes.
Information the application processes
Card Scanner processes card targets and research data imported from files or entered manually; eBay listing titles, item IDs, URLs, prices, shipping information, listing attributes, condition and grading details; and auction bids, bid counts, ending times and available outcome information. Listing responses can also include seller identifiers, feedback information, item locations and image URLs.
The operator can enter notes, review decisions, sourcing strategies and purchase details such as price, tax, shipping and purchase date. If a destination ZIP code is supplied for shipping estimates, it is sent to eBay for that purpose. The reviewed version does not persist that ZIP code as an application preference.
How information is used
Information supports listing searches, exact-card identity checks, buying-cost estimates, sourcing reports, listing management and historical auction analysis. The application does not automatically bid or purchase cards. It does not ask for or store your eBay password; authorization is handled through eBay.
Storage and credentials
Targets, purchase records, reviews, scan history and auction observations are stored in a SQLite database on the computer running Card Scanner. Reports exported by the operator are saved as local files. Backups or device synchronization chosen by the operator may create additional copies.
When the Windows credential-saving feature is used, the eBay Client ID and Client Secret are stored in Windows Credential Manager. Application access tokens are used in memory. In the reviewed auction pilot, the OAuth User token is supplied for the application session or through an environment variable; Card Scanner does not write that token into its SQLite database. Environment-variable persistence depends on how the operator configures the computer.
External services and sharing
Card Scanner sends authentication requests, search terms, requested item IDs and, when provided, the shipping ZIP code to eBay over HTTPS. eBay processes requests under its own privacy notice. Opening a listing launches an external webpage governed by that service's policies.
The reviewed application has no built-in advertising or analytics service and no automatic upload of the local database to Last Pack Mojo or ChatGPT. The operator may choose to share exported reports or diagnostic files with advisers or service providers; those recipients then receive the information contained in those files. Last Pack Mojo does not sell information collected through Card Scanner.
Retention, deletion and control
Local research and historical observations remain until removed by the operator; the reviewed pilot does not automatically expire historical scan records. Removing a target does not necessarily remove its earlier observations. Exported reports and backups must be managed separately. Contact the operator for help identifying or removing retained information. Authorization can be withdrawn through eBay's account settings; withdrawing access does not itself erase previously saved local records.
Security
The operator is responsible for protecting the computer, database, exports and backups with suitable access controls. The SQLite database is not encrypted by the application. Credentials and authorization tokens must not be included in shared reports or screenshots. No storage or transmission method provides absolute security.
This policy webpage
This page contains no forms, analytics scripts, advertising or cookies of its own. Cloudflare, the hosting provider, may process technical connection information such as IP addresses and request logs to deliver and protect the webpage. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy for its data practices.
